Lady GaGa manages to extend her Billboard Dance/Club chart domination as her latest single “Marry The Night” lands atop the chart. This is her 12th Dance #1, breaking her own record of most consecutive #1 singles on the chart. Since “Poker Face” every single managed to reach the top of the chart.

This week the Lady GaGa Presents: The Monster Ball Tour Live from The Madison Square Garden in New York DVD debuts atop The Billboard Top Music Video DVD chart after selling 26,000 copies. This is the highest total since Beyonce’s “I Am… World Tour” DVD opened with 36,000 copies in November 2010. The top 3 this week closes with Britney Spears’ “Femme Fatale Tour Live in Toronto” with 19,000 copies and Beyonce “4 Live from Roseland” moving 17,000 copies.

As it reaches #1, “The Edge of Glory” becomes Lady GaGa’s 9th consecutive #1 on Billboard Dance/Club Play chart. GaGa’s only single not have topped the chart is “Just Dance.”

“Born This Way” arrives atop the Billboard 200 Albums Chart as Lady GaGa’s latest album manages to sell 1,108,000 copies in the week of it’s release, the largest weekly total by any album since 50 Cent’s “The Massacre” sold 1,114,000 copies on the week of its release in March 2005.

“Born This Way” becomes GaGa’s first #1 on the albums chart. “The Fame” peaked at #2, and its extended version “Fame Monster” peaked at #5.

Lady GaGa is the most recent million seller, right after Taylor Swift’s “Speak Now” did it with 1,047,000 copies in October 2010. Curiously, Swift’s and GaGa’s albums share a similar strategy which didn’t help Swift much: Both had their albums discounted on Amazon.com for bigger first week sales ($0.99 for Gaga, and $3.99 for Swift). 440,000 copies of “Born This Way” were sold via the $0.99 HUGE discount, while only 40,000 of Swift’s total were off her discount back in October.

With such front-loaded digital sales from Amazon due to the super huge discount, “Born This Way” breaks the record for biggest digital debut of any album, with over 600,000 copies out of the albums 1,1 million coming from digital retailers, with Amazon contributing with almost half a million.

Lady GaGa’s new set becomes the 2nd biggest female first week sales in the history of the chart, after only Pop superstar Britney Spears whose album “Oops!…I Did It Again” sold 1,319,000 copies during its release week in 2000.

The UK Singles Chart has announced Lady GaGa has broken a 56-year old record for most simultaneous Top 20 entries on the chart with 4 songs charting among the Top 20. On the chart issue released today with “The Edge of Glory” and “Judas” charting #6 and #8 respectively, “Born This Way” at #13 and the new entry on the UK chart “Hair”, debuting at #16. The previous record holder was Ruby Murray, who did it with 3 songs in 1955.

“Poker Face” crosses the mark of 6 million digital downloads in the U.S.A. this week, becoming only the third song to ever achieve this feature since the explosion of the digital market in late 2006. “Poker Face” joins Black Eyed Peas’ “I Gotta Feeling” (soon to be 7 million) and Gaga’s other song, “Just Dance” on the list of songs to have sold more than 6 million copies.

“Born This Way” becomes the 1,000th number #1 song of The U.S. Billboard Hot 100 as the song debuts atop the chart after selling approximately 448,000 digital copies in 3 days and over 78.5 million radio audience impressions.

“Born This Way” is Gaga’s 3rd Hot 100 chart-topper, her previous ones were “Poker Face” and “Just Dance” in 2009.

According to The Worldwide Top 40 Albums Chart provided by MediaTraffic.de, “The Fame Monster” is the best-selling album of 2010 worldwide moving 5,9 million copies during the year.

Lady GaGa is followed closely by Eminem’s “Recovery” with 5,8 million copies and Justin Bieber “My World” with 5,6 million. The top 5 gets completed with Lady Antebellum’s “Need You Now” with 3,6 million copies and album-selling machine Taylor Swift with 3,5 million copies in 2 months for “Speak Now”.

“The Fame Monster” moved the same amount of copies in 2009 and charted at #2 on the year-end chart behind Susan Boyle’s “I Dreamed A Dream” which sold 6 million.

“The Fame” and “The Fame Monster” have now a total of 12 million copies sold.

Lady GaGa made several of the Year-End lists of Billboard magazine (the official magazine for US music charts), including #1 on The Artist Of The Year list.

Billboard has a different way to count their year and that’s how the lists are made. The 2010 Year-ends list counts from December 1, 2009 through November 30, 2010.

This week, Lady GaGa’s “Poker Face” joins the list of the singles by female artists that have been able to sell over 1 million copies in the United Kingdom, as the song sold 1,418 copies last week bringing it to a total of 1,003,011 downloads in the UK. She is just the 13th female artist to sell over a million copies of a single in the UK in the chart history (counting downloads and physical releases).

“Poker Face” also becomes the 1st single by a female artist to sell over 1 million digital copies (paid downloads). “Poker Face” total of 1 million copies is of paid downloads, the single wasn’t released physically in the UK.
